JUNIORS INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED CAMP
AGES 13-16

This Full Day camp (8:30 am – 4:00 pm) is for 13-16 year olds who have some solid experience riding their mountain bikes.

Campers should be comfortable riding their bikes for sustained amounts of time. There will be a considerable amount of riding, skills development, mechanics, race strategies/tactics, fun and games! Camp includes entry into our famous Wednesday Night Mountain Bike Series Race!

Available After Camp Activities from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm / $50.00/week

Counselor to camper ratio is 1:6.

Below is a sample schedule of a typical day, along with a listing of skills that will be covered, and on/off bike activities that campers may experience. Each registered participant will receive email correspondence two weeks prior to the event with a detailed daily schedule and a list of “what to bring.”

Mountain Biking Skills Covered:

This camp is built experienced riders in mind. The next level in skills and thrills. Timely instruction to move the rider forward with their skills, with plenty of skill-level specific instruction and rides.

  • Review of fundamentals: Anticipation, Shifting, Braking, Hovering
  • Obstacles – on flats, turns and hills
  • Cornering – fundamentals of turns plus banks and burms
  • Climbing and Descending – review plus techniques for the super steeps
  • Air and Safe landings
  • Wednesday & regional racing

Bike Maintenance:

We love to ride. We need to love our ride. Age-appropriate introductions to bicycle mechanics will be covered during the week.
