CATAMOUNT CYCLING CLUB

For those who feel passionately about mountain biking and know that the sport goes far beyond roots, rocks, and loam.

Team comradery and collective stoke are catalysts for pushing personal limits and encouraging others, while growing as a person and as an athlete. We are thrilled to be introducing the Catamount Cycling Club to our program offerings for the 2021 riding season.

By joining the Club, riders can expect to gain confidence in riding ability, develop new skills, meet other cyclists, and spend quality time on their bike. Under the expertise of a variety of Certified Bike Instructors whose skills range from downhill & enduro racing to cross country & endurance cycling, our club offers great opportunities to take your riding to the next level.

We have registration options available to meet individual scheduling needs! Club members can sign up for the entire riding season at a discounted rate, or you can register for specific months to meet the dynamic schedules of your family.

JUNIOR CREW

Ages 11-15

The Junior Crew is best suited for riders, ages 11-15 years old, who have solid fundamental skills and are confident riding the “Black/Advanced” trails at local trail networks. Riders should be able to perform uphill & downhill moving dismounts, front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, and be comfortable on their bikes in all terrain. We will schedule skill assessment rides to ensure that our riders have the necessary skills for both safety and personal advancement.

Coaching Sessions

May, June, September, October:
2 afternoon practices per week.
3:30 – 6:30 (Tuesday, Thursday)
1 Sunday/month 9-4pm

July, August
3 full day practices per week.
9am – 4pm (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday)

GROM SQUAD

Ages 8-10

The Grom Squad is perfect for young riders, ages 8-10 years old, who think biking is rad! If they are able to execute basic riding safety and feel comfortable riding on single track, joining the club will give the groms the opportunities to experience different types of riding and advance their skills.

WHAT WILL PRACTICES BE LIKE?

A typical practice with The Catamount Cycling Club will consist of a variety of fun and deliberate activities. On any given day, Club members can expect to limber up with some stretching, get their heart rate up on an exciting trail ride, and slow it down and practice skills such as line choice, rock rolls, and drops.

We are committed to providing Catamount Cycling Club Members with consistent and exciting riding opportunities. While there is no strict attendance policy, we hope that you can join us for as many practices as possible!
